GIBSON'S PINK Fizz
In a tumbler half-filled with ice, add:
40 ml GIBSON'S PINK Gin
40 ml lemonade
20 ml Prosecco
One strawberry cut in two
Simply half-fill the tumbler glass with ice and pour over your GIBSON'S PINK Gin, lemonade and Prosecco. Stir gently and garnish with the sliced strawberry.
The origins of the Gin Fizz cocktail
The Gin Fizz first appeared in the 1750s, at a time when scurvy was widespread among sailors undertaking long sea crossings. As the illness is caused by vitamin C deficiency, sailors were encouraged by the navy to drink gin fizz cocktails, which were rich in vitamin C, the beneficial properties of which were preserved by the alcohol.
